Colorado Leadership and Skills Championships
2008 Call to Conference: SkillsUSA Colorado returns to Colorado Springs April 10-11, 2008. Leadership competition will be held at the Colorado Springs Double Tree hotel and Pikes Peak Community College.

Colorado Fall Leadership Conference- 2008 FLC Information Available now
After several years absence, Colorado SkillsUSA’s Fall Leadership Conferencereturned in 2007! The conference was held on the campus of Pueblo Community College on November 9-10. Over 65 students and advisors attended the 2 day event designed to provide students the opportunity for networking and leadership training. Students were also presented with a session designed to help them prep for applying for a job and how best to present themselves in the interview process. It is our desire to make the Fall Leadership Conference an annual event. The 2008 Fall Leadership Conference is scheduled for October 10-11 at Puebo Community College.
National Leadership and Skills Conference (NLSC)
SkillsUSA returns to Kansas City June 23-27, 2008 for the 44th annual National Leadership and Skills Conference (NLSC), a showcase of career and technical education students.
SkillsUSA Championships
The SkillsUSA Championships is the showcase for the best career and technical students in the nation. Contests begin locally and continue through the state and national levels. The philosophy of the Championships is to reward students for excellence, to involve industry in directly evaluating student performance and to keep training relevant to employers’ needs. Colorado SkillsUSA Leadership and Skills Championships will be held April 10-11, 2008 in Colorado Springs, Colorado.
Washington Leadership Training Institutes (WLTI)
SlillsUSA offers advanced training for students and advisors that focuses on the skills needed to be champions at work, in the communities and in their personal lives. It’s known as the Washington Leadership Training Institute (WLTI). Student attendees must apply to attend the conference which will focus on developing advanced leadership, citizenship and employability skills.
SkillsUSA National Week of Service
We would like to invite all our chapters to plan a community service project during the week of May 4-10, 2008. This will help commemorate the founding of SkillsUSA as will as harness the power of our combined efforts to showcase the good work being done by our student members and bring attention to Career and Technical Education, and the value of SkillsUSA. With more time for chapters to plan their community service efforts, we hope to increase the number of chapters participating and therefore gain more local and national attention for our efforts.
SkillsUSA National Conference Pin Design Contest
SkillsUSA is sponsoring a national conference pin design competition that is open to all dues-paying student members of the organization. The winning design will become the official pin for the 2008 SkillsUSA National Leadersip and Skills Conference. The pin will be produced by the SkillsUSA Supply Service in a limited quantity for the 2008 conference
